    Campagnola Proton wheels

    I just bought a Colnago master with protons wheels. Does anybody have any info on these wheels? Where do thay fall as far quality and weight.

    Protons were Campy entry level low profile wheels similar to the current Neutrons but heavier. I believe they were in the 1850g area. Typical Campy quality bearings and hub. They make for great training and occasional race wheels. Check the product review section of this site. They are very strong wheels.

    +1 on the Protons.

    I've had mine since Jan 2005. It's still true and have not yet touched a truing stand. Currently, it's on my Z5 and loving it. Oh yeah, just in case you're wondering, I'm around 200lbs and have a strong tendency to mash...

    Ow.. ow.. oww... CRAMP!
