    Campy Syncro question.

Would a C Record rear derailer work with sycro down tube shifters, assuming the correct cog set/freewheel for the shifters.? I would like to set up an 80's 753 frame I have with C Record stuff, but still have index shifting. Hope this is not a dumb question.

    Not very well

Let's face it. While the idea behined Syncro isn't bad it never really worked. If you do try use a Dura Ace freewheel and chain they seem to work the best.

Well, you can say that. But how does it explain my wife riding on a Synchro system for 14 years with a 1989 C Record derailleur? Was that all just a figment of our imagination? Seemed to work fine for her. Don't let your personal experience extrapolate too far.

    If I may ask...

What was the brand was the freewheel and the chain?

Worked with both Regina freewheels/chains and SRAM freewheels/chains.
