can't get my bar end shifters indexed
this has me really baffled. I am fully capable of adjusting my F/R derailleurs, setting the limit screws, etc but I cannot get the bar end shifters on my Cervelo P2C adjusted correctly.
10 spd Shimano bar end shifters
10 spd Shimano Dura Ace cassette (good condition)
new shifter cable and housing
new Dura Ace chain
new FSA chainrings (53/39)
internal cable routing
I set the H gear (smallest cog) limit screw, pull the cable and tighten the pinch bolt, then ratchet up through the gears to L gear (biggest cog). I have tried over and over to adjust the wire tension with the barrel adjuster, but the chain keeps skipping a gear either from 4 to 5, 5 to 6, or back down from 6 to 5 or 5 to 4.
I have even looked at the derailleur hanger, but I do not think it's bent (even though I don't have the tool to measure it).
Initially I thought the L gear limit screw was too tight, but even when loosening it, the derailleur is not traveling all the way to the limit screw. It's like the wire tension is very tight at this very extreme gear.
too much cable tension? too much b-tension screw? hanger? hard to say from here...damn near impossible.

I've got some bikes, some guns,
and a bunch of skateboards
Although these doesn't sound like the classic symptoms of getting this wrong, make sure the spacer between the lever and the support is oriented correctly. The little flat "stage" you see in the drawing needs to be at 6 o'clock as shown.
