Chris King titanium fork crown race (baseplate) with steel headset

I need to get a new fork crown race for a King 1 1/8 headset... can I use the titanium one with the steel headset or do they need to match for some reason?

I appreciate the advice but I was hoping to get a response from my most trusted cycling community before the weekend was over to take advantage of a sale.

As it is, I did contact Chris King and they replied quickly. For those who may ever have the same question and dig up this thread, the answer is yes:

You can use the titanium 1 1/8" baseplate (PHS437) for the steel nothreadset.
