I'm considering an aero crankset to upgrade my TT bike. Zipp's offering is cost prohibitive (way prohibitive). FSA seems to have a couple of options.
Navigating the FSA site, they offer "road" bike components, and they have a separate link for "vision" components. I'm aware the Vision stuff tends to be targeted for triathlon uses.
1. Under "road" components, they offer the "FSA Krono" crankset, which looks to have a standard five-finger spider with a very wide outer ring.
2. Under their "vision" components, they offer the TriMax Carbon, which looks an awful lot like the older ZippChrono crankset.
My TT events will be for stage races (10 to 40 km ITT's), not triathalons.
Any reason to choose the FSA Krono vs the Vision TriMax? Any experience with the quality of one vs the other? I've read the TriMax is sort of heavy by road bike standards, but I'm anticipating my TT's will be pretty flat.
