Microshift 10sp shifters w Shimano 105 (rear) - confirm they work?

Just wanted to see if anyone can confirm that combination works. I've got older 105 rear (like 2014 or so) and want to change up my tri bike to road bike and don't want to spend too much. Microshift seems to be a decent lower-cost alternative if it works.

I understand that there's a difference in how the shifting works on some Microshift models, but I'm fine with that as long as it works with the derailler.

    Can someone confirm?

And is there a difference in compatibility between the different models? I'm looking at Centos on Amazon, but I also see the R10 some places...

And if someone has a recommendation on a drop-bar that is good quality but inexpensive, doesn't have to be carbon, that'd be great as well...

10-speed Microshift road components are completely compatible with 10-speed Shimano road components.

While the Microshift are compatible with Shimano Iíve found their build quality and longevity to be less than Shimano and they can be quirky to set up. Iím pretty experienced with bike builds, at least up to 10-speed stuff. I use only Shimano components now.

If you shop carefully or buy excellent condition used, you can save a fair amount of money and have a known quality.

Yeah, I suppose I'm looking at it as either trying to get matching 105 shifters, but those are really expensive now that everyone seems to have moved to 11 speed (or I'm not finding the right sellers) or I'll have to get 105 used which means I don't really know what condiction they're in - or I get Microshift new for less than 105 new. So that option really appealed to me.

As of now I don't intend to race on the bike with a drop bar setup, so I'm ok with possibly "having to" upgrade in the future.

    Anyway, I appreciate the input.

Oh, and for dropbars? Pretty much anything or? Trying to find a good price/performance...
