Mixing Sram & Campy?

I read online that Zinn has had success using a sram rd with Campy ergopower 10 speed shifters. My question is can I use any Campy 10 speed shifters with a Sram rd? I ask because I'm thinking of building up a fowl weather bike like this. Thanks

don't...

It's easy to explain why this does not work well. SRAm RD's require a uniform 3mm of cable pull per shift, according to SRAM. Zinn measured it to be 3.1mm, but he also mismeasured the Campy shifter pull.

Campy 10 shifters make nonuniform cable pulls. Those pulls are 2.5mm five times, 3mm twice and 3.5mm twice. After those first five pulls, the RD would be out of position by nearly a full cog.

Campy RD's don't all have the same actuation ratio. Campy made a change in 2001. The 2009+ 11 speed RDs also have a little greater actuation ratio than 10 speed.
