    I assume you mean this is happening in the rear cassette? I've also had this happen occasionally. You stand up to start cranking, and wham - it slams into the gear it was supposed to be in.

    Yes. More specifically I think it's happening with the chain/cassette coming together. I mentioned the different hubs to sort of back that up because having it happen with 4 different hubs at various stages of pawl greasing would make it highly unlikely I had pawls issues with all 4 hubs.
