    An odd question about headsets...

I recently purchased a metal frame with a 44mm head tube. The fork I have has a tapered steerer (1 1/8 to 1.5). The lower headset cup will have to be an external.

What I'm wondering is, is there any way to have an external cup up top as well? From a design standpoint, I much prefer to have the bearings outside of the frame.

    Possible? Or not?

I don't see what you're looking for, from either Chris King or Cane Creek. I think you're out of luck.

You'll have to get a headset similar to the one you have now.......That's one of the problems with integrated headsets.......If they ever stop making that type, you'd be SOL.
If your opinion differs from mine, ..........Too bad.

Buying parts to hang on your bike is always easier than getting fit.
