Just out of curiosity, is it possible to build a clincher wheelset that weighs 1000 grams or less for a 150 lbs. rider?

You posted basically the same question in the Wheels and Tires forum. It appears the 1098 gram wheelset metioned there is the best option given the $1000 or less pricepoint.

Having searched for the same type of wheel in your price range, I settled on a very lightly used set of American Classic Magnesium clinchers.

Are the American Classic Mags pricey? Aren't they bringing it back but with a hight ticket?

Thanks...
