Pretty sure I know the answer, but...............

Is this what I'm afraid it is..............rust?

Ok, so I can't seem to copy and paste the image link. Here's the web link.

If so, I figure I've got three options.

    1. Sand these spots down, clean them up with some acetone, and hit them with some touchup paint.

    2. Although, it looks like there's some discoloring around the edge of the lug, which has me thinking the corrosion might have spread inside the joint, where inevitably there will be a failure. So, just let it go until this happens, and then find someone who can replace and fix the damaged areas.

    3. Send it back to Torelli right now and have them strip, sand, and whatever else they need to do to clean this up, and then repaint the whole frame. .

I'd be more concerned with the C**P state of your chain.

    Waxy buildup.

It's the offseason, this bike doesn't get ridden. And chains don't cost two grand.

Strip the effected area. If the lug is sealed with the braze filler it is fine to properly refinish. If not it wasnt brazed properly and needs to be fixed properly.
