Recommend some canti brake pads, please

    Hi there.

I need to replace the brakes on my Bianchi Volpe - they are cantilever threaded.

I am about to order some other non-bike stuff from Amazon and want to add some brakes to the order, can anyone recommend good replacements?

    https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...ever+threaded+

Picture shows one from the front / one from the back... eagle claw, thinline, what do I need?

    Thanks!

I'd get 2 more Shimano pad holder/pad and then some cartridge pads. This way you can just replace the pads when they wear.

OK, this is totally sad, but I didn't realize until you just said this that the Shimano pads even popped out... I wonder what I did with my front Shimano holders... I think I probably threw them out, thinking they were broken. A pad did fall out at one point...

Is that a worry in general?

I will say that this bike has never stopped well, and I am in a super hilly area, so I need all the help I can get.

    Edited to add:

Will this work? Happy to upgrade to Kool Stops if they are better...

I use Kool Stop pads on all our family bikes. They stop well with good feel, give good modulation and work very well in the wet.

OK. Do you think the ones in the link are compatible / correct fitting?

Get the Kool Stop, they work great. All V-brake pads are compatible w/ all V-brake pad holders.
