Removal of press fit bottom bracket cups.

I don't like taking a hammer to my carbon frame for anything so I'm looking for tools that can pull the press fit cups out without one. Shimano makes a tool, as does Unior. If anyone could offer an opinion about this that'd be great.

These are the only two that seem to work without using a hammer:

    Unior d.d. | Hand tools

Shimano TL-BB12 Pressfit BB Install Tool > Accessories > Tools > Crank & Chainring Tools | Jenson USA

    Thanks!

Personally, I wouldn't use that one. The outer ring presses against the BB shell of the frame. If it's painted, it could chip the paint. I'd much rather use a hammer extractor.

That's an install tool. It won't remove the BB.
TL-BB13 is the Shimano removal tool. http://www.jensonusa.com/Shimano-TL-...B-Removal-Tool

This works great unless you have a GXP bottom bracket...unless they've changed some things in the last couple of years.
