    Road Stem Advice

Hi all, considering a new stem, thinking of either 3T ARX Pro or Ritchey WCS 4 Axis. Both would be 6 degree, 120 mm. I think the Ritchey is a bit lighter. Which would you prefer and why? Thanks for any thoughts.

I went for the 3T ARX Pro. Looks to be about 40g heavier than the Ritchey (150g vs. 110g @ 100mm). To be honest though, functionally they're both pretty good, and the 3T has good reviews re: stiffness.

It just so happened that the white stripe on the 3T matches the white stripe on the top tube of my Felt...

That's funny! I got the 3T ARX Team, which has a red stripe, to match the red stripe on my Felt F3!

I'm a big fan of Syntace products. I have this stem on 2 bikes. I used to have the FSA 0s-99. This is stem is a lot stiffer.

I've used both at 6 degree. They felt identical. I'd just pick the one you like based on looks and/or price. My 3T Pro weighed in at 145g and the Ritchey was lighter but I don't recall the weight. This is for the 120mm 6 degree...I use the 3T only because I had to buy a new bar which was 3T and wanted the stem to match.

    I have a 110mm -17 degree 3T Team stem and weighed it at 129gm.

I don't believe stiffness is a factor in choosing between stems.
