Will a shimano 105 cassette fit on a roval slx 23 wheelset? The 105 that I have on the roval wheel, the gear plates have movement and the indexing seems off. The cassette is new.
The spacer from the 105 was put in but the spacer that was sent with the wheelset was not. It is a 10 speed cassette. Would it be better to run a different cassette like a sram?
You should be fine. Worst case scenario is that you need to adjust the rear der just a little. If you try that and things don't line up or shift smoothly take it to a mechanic and pay $15 for the adjustment.
That wheel comes with a spacer because the fh body is 11 speed, which is a little longer than the 10 speed fh body. The spacer is for using 10 speed cassettes on a fh body designed for 11 speed. Use it.
The 2013 Roval SLX 23's have an 11 speed body, the 2012's have a 10 speed. You'd need to use the single Shimano spacer (1mm?) with the 2012's, and I believe both if you're using the 2013 wheels (or it may be just the single 1.85mm spacer??).
There is no such thing as a 2012 roval fusee SLX 23. In 2012 the similar wheel was called the fusee sl 25. The slx 23 is a 2013 wheel with an 11 speed freehub body that needs the spacer to run 10 speed. The sl 25 is a 2012 wheel with a 10 speed freehub body.
Ok, but I've owned two sets. One had a 10 speed body, and no wear indicators on the rim (came on a bike). The other set had an 11 speed body with wear indicators on the rim (Specialized shipped).
