    Salsa Chili Con Crosso

On the 2009 frame should there be a flat crimped area where the front derailleur would rest?

on other brands of frames there can be a crimp or dent for the cage. is this crimp in the way of the clamp?

The flat crimp is about 3.5 inches long that would obstruct the clamp. I've never seen this on a frame. Goes in about 1/2 inch.

what size chainrings are you running? the 'dent' in the frame should be below where the clamp would be on a standard top clamp-low swing frt derailleur.
I work for some bike racers
I've got some bikes, some guns,
    and a bunch of skateboards
