    Speedplay X3 wobble

So my left pedal has a noticeable up/down "play" around the spindle. I can feel and hear an audible "click" on every upstroke. Thinking it was the cleats, I got new cleats and the problem persists. Not sure it's the bearing or something else, but was just going to buy new pedals, but wanted to ask first.

google images shows you can replace the bearings, so you can obviously tighten the whole unit as well.
Yossarian: don't worry. nothing's going to happen to you that won't happen to the rest of us.

    Found this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNmNl88JCKo
I've replaced the bearings on my X1s, but they are completely different.
X2s are supposed to be better than the X3s if you can't service them to your liking.

Thanks. Replacement parts are almost as much as a used set.

Can't see anyway to get pedal free of spindle. I removed screw at the dust cap but my pedals don't separate in half like the video.

Remove the dust cap with a utility knife tip by prying it out. Inside you will see a nut that you remove and then the pedal comes apart.
