First question; Can a seatpost bracket create a bent titanium saddle rail?
Had one Specialized saddle with titanium rails that bent, returned this for another. The replaced saddle still looks OK, but purchased a different saddle, also with titanium rails, this one does appear slightly bent.
I then replaced the seatpost with a Thompson elite, so far, no bent rails.
Which leads to my second question on upgrading a second bike.
Purchased this second bike used, and while checking the seatpost bracket, the guide or support for the rail appears a little rough, not a machined surface, looks like cast metal.
Question is; can this create a problem on titanium saddle rails?
Just got a new discounted saddle with titanium rails and would like to avoid damaging the rails if this seatpost braket/clamp could create problems.
Or, am I just being paranoid....
