traditional lever for v-brakes
I'm building up a bike path cruiser 3-speed, and planning to use Nitto Promenade flat bars and Paul motolite v-brakes.
Looking for simple, traditional style levers that are v-brake compatible, along the lines of the Tektro FL750 or vintage Dia Compe levers for urban / city / cruiser applications - the type with longer, slightly curved levers.
Paul recommends their Love levers, of course, but I'd rather not go with a mtn style lever.
Not excited about a Travel Agent or adapter.
If you like the FL750, how about the CL740? Very similar look, advertised for V-brakes.
I think I know what you mean, but off-hand, I can't think of a more classic-styled brake lever.
The CL740s have a 23.8 mm (road) clamp diameter, so you'd have to put a shim under their clamps to go on a 22.2 (mountain) Nitto Promenade.

Or the other option - get shorter-arm v-brakes. Can go overboard with the TRP's, or for reasonable options like BX3 or 926, depending on the throw desired.

Brilliant. Why didn't I think of that?
