I have a USE seat post and I can't figure out how to adjust the tilt on it. It is a single bolt system so I've loosen the bolt and have tried leaning on the saddle to tilt it down. I called the shop where the seat post came from and it was suggested I use a rubber mallet to knock the rotational adjustment loose. Still no go.
Any other tips to get this thing to rotate?
The clamp looks like this but mine is a Cannondale carbon post.
Well for future reference in case anyone struggles with adjusting the tilt on one of these seat posts. You have to remove the bolt and both saddle rail brackets and then drive something like an allen wrench through the bolt hole knocking the round caps loose from the inside. Once both caps are driven out then you rotate the cap to where you want the tilt and then reassemble.
Banging on the saddle with the seat post bolt loosen only scratches the clamp and does not rotate the saddle angle. Tell me how I know this...
