Vintage SR chainring installation orientation - confirmation sought please

I'm putting the old Centurion back on the road, and during the disassemble, found the script on the inner chainring facing the frame side. Naturally the script on the big ring faces away from the frame.

This bike is pretty original, and not messed with, but I have no confirmation that it is the factory setup. Naturally, it will face either way (the gap will then change, because of the offset), but I'm pretty sure it will shift and have clearance either way. An added tidbit is that should the small ring be reversed (script then facing away from the frame), it would be hidden from view because of the design of the big ring.

A search of the 'net found a few discussions on this, with the script mostly facing inward, but I though I would throw it out there should someone have a point of view.

Thanks!Vintage SR chainring installation orientation - confirmation sought please-srchainring.jpg

My 1970's Nuovo Record inside chainring has the script facing inward, as well.
Mapie is a conventional looking former Hollywood bon viveur, now leading a quiet life in a house made of wood by an isolated beach. He has cultivated a taste for culture, and is a celebrated raconteur amongst his local associates, who are artists, actors, and other leftfield/eccentric types. I imagine he has a telescope, and an unusual sculpture outside his front door. He is also a beach comber. The Rydster.

Mapei, thanks for the response. That observation squares with a neighbors Raleigh having NR as well.

I'll run this as-is, presuming it is correct. Here.....I cleaned it up not wanting the OCD crowd to get all worked up this morning!
