when bar clamp size and stem size differ slightly

Will a handlebar with a 25.8 mm clamp size go with a 26.0 mm stem? What about vice versa? (When I say "go with", I mean no increased risk of slippage, premature wear, breakage or accident.) Thanks!

Should work fine. I've found them to be interchangable...
