I've done it. You really need to pry open the clamp and muscle the bar around the sharp bends. Your bars will end up with gouge marks.

As said, you may have to work at it a bit to bring the stem over the sharp bends and those ergo humps or whatever they are. But all that's assuming the bars are 26.0 mm diameter in the stem clamp area to fit the Dynamic's 26.0 mm clamp. If the bars are 31.8 mm in the stem clamp area ("oversize"), forget it. But perhaps you knew this already.

Yeah, it'll work if the stem is the right clamp size. And if you do it right you should not damage the bar at all. You wedge the clamp open as much as possible (don't bend it, though), and then carefully work the stem onto the bar. It's easier if you do it off the bike, so you can freely rotate the stem. At each bend and crimp in the bar, there will be a precise angle at which the stem will move most freely. You just move it a little at a time, rotating as necessary. Anatomic-bend bars were introduced when the only stems in use were non-faceplate quill stems. Most are compatible.
