Alpha Q Fork (not CX-20) Anyone have any experience?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this model and how different it is from the CX-20 model aside from the weight. I have an opportunity to pick up a slightly used one to replace my Redline conquest pro carbon fork with aluminum steerer.

    Thanks in advance

I guess that would have helped. It's the CX model.

Sorry. Did not mean to be sharp. They made 3 diff models IIRR and I've not ridden the top CX40 model.

I ride the CX on my ride. Have 2 seasons on it now. Mine is the 1" carbon steerer model(I think that was officially the CX10). It took a lot of weight off my bike, is stiff and I don't have any brake chatter problems.

On the stiffness, its stiffer than the steel fork it replaced (not as much spring as the previous steel fork had curved legs vs the straight legs of the Alpha Q). It is not however as stiff as the fork on my buddy's Ridley X-fire. His fork however has pretty significant fork chatter with every brake we've tried on it so far....

Got mine for $150 off the bay of fleas and I'm happy with it.

Cyklopath, no worries at all. Can't expect to get help if you don't provide the info.

Thanks for the input. That helps the decision process.
