    changing fork

I have a fork I want to swap because the brake pads don't open wide enough to insert a wheel with an inflated tire. Current rake is 45mm; I can get a good deal on a fork with a 47mm rake. I have a 60cm frame with a 74 degree HTA. What difference would I see going from 45 to 47mm?

Is that HTA correct?? What kind of bike is that?

If it is that steep, I would not add a single mm of rake. In case you do not know that: More rake means less trail, means a twitchier bike.

The frame is Performance's house brand CX frame, Scattante XRL. It does have a 74 degree HTA in the 60cm coupled with a 72.5 STA.
From what I've seen and ridden, at least on the road, a 74 degree HTA isn't at all uncommon in larger frames. Tends to keep the front end reined in. I'm finding the current config, 74 HTA with 45mm rake and a 120 stem to be very stable. I'm trying to figure out if the amount of change would be very noticable, or more fine tuning.

If it is very stable right now, the extra 2mm's will not hurt. I doubt if it is noticable.
