Nice! I'm not starting until World Cup Waterloo so we will see how likely that goal is for me. Have a great season everyone. If you have pictures, post them!

Great job man! I was just short of a top ten in Saturday's race. I fell too many times and ended up 11th. Sunday I was just worn out and wasn't able to put the hammer down enough (23rd) I felt even more comfortable after Sunday's race. I think I'll be able to get forced upgraded to 2 this year...if my schedule allows for enough racing.

Rest of my races start October 7th. 1 week to get myself ready for my favorite course.

Thanks. We're right back at it this weekend with race #2 of Chi Cross Cup. I'm hoping it's a little cooler...

My big goal is to make it until 2018 still cycling. haven't made it yet but I haven't lost hope.

Best ride of the year a couple years ago came on New Year's eve ... got out before the partiers headed out and had the roads to myself .... weather was pleasant enough and I just rode and rode ... then the whole next two months were bad weather and bad health .... Hmmmm..... not sure now .... ;)

I got my win in a Cat 3 race! We had an omnium weekend. I placed 2nd Friday night and then took the top spot on Sunday. With this I'm going to race the remaining of the season in the P123 field to try and better my skill and race knowledge/tactics. It will be interesting to try and do that from the back. Our P123 fields do not have many people in them, usually 10-15.

Well, Congratulations! For winning, for achieving a goal, and most of all for having the gumption to chase you goals.

    Did you survive your Waterloo?

I survived. Placed 11th. I fell 3 times and that kept me out of the top ten.

Also, thanks for the congrats! Hope everyone else is enjoying the season.

Sorry to be so late to the party but congrats on the win!

As for myself managed to get on the podium this past weekend and now have upgrade points to upgrade to 3. The only question is, since we're now at the 1/2 way point of the season, do I upgrade now or play out the season in 4s and upgrade for next year? I'm inclined to upgrade now - I don't think I realistically can win the series. I'm still in it, but there's two races I can't do and I think that will kill my chances. Could still win or podium in the state champ race which would be cool. I also feel it's important to upgrade out of 4 and 5 once you have points to pave the way for others though.

Great Job DDave12000! Podiums are great.

I had the same scenario as you last season. I did upgrade to three and found myself riding in the top ten. I actually won state last year in Cat 3 because of it. I do agree with you that it is important to upgrade out of 4 and 5 when you have the points and hope other follow. Those two categories seem to need to see others to know they can do it as well.

Good luck and keep it up!

I'm late to the party, but with 2 races left to go, I've met all my goals. Maybe I need to set the bar higher. I actually won a couple weeks ago so I upgraded to 3, did masters 35+ last week and did well. Doing my first 3s race this weekend.

    Woot!

I'm super late. First season racing Cross.
I'm just trying to breaking into the top 50% in a cat 4 race.
Have gotten close but still haven't cracked it.

    Good Job DDave and Kendogz!

I have races some P123 races, it was easy to place top ten when there wasn't even 10 in the race in one I did.
I won state cat 3 so I upgrade to cat 2!

    Season done
