Hello All,

I am a newbie and is about to join the cycling community. I am wondering you guys could let me know if this bike is worth the money to buy, as I am kind of clueless. All your opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.

More information about the bike below:

***2010 ULTEGRA 6700 105 DIAMONDBACK road bike****

Carbon fiber fork with plenty of length for stem height adjustments
Shimano Ultegra 6700 10 speed shifters
Shimano Ultegra 6700 10 speed chain
Shimano 105 5700 10 speed standard crankset, front and rear derailleur
Upgraded Easton Vista wheelset

Thanks,

The size sounds like it's pushing it to me too. I'm 5'8" and I can "make" a 54 fit, kind of, but I'm actually happier on a 52. Proportions have a lot to do with it - I'm somewhat leggy for my height and don't have a terribly long reach. But definitely be careful with this.

If there's a shop carrying used bikes or used sporting equipment in general in your area, that can be a good way to stretch a buck. You still get to try a few different bikes, something that I think is a real value-added, but you also don't pay retail.

Cross training as in training for cyclocross, or as in training for a non-cycling sport?
