I am a newbie and is about to join the cycling community. I am wondering you guys could let me know if this bike is worth the money to buy, as I am kind of clueless. All your opinions and thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I don't think DB is known to be the lightest bike, but with an Ultegra groupset it's a good deal @ 700, that's less than what the Shimano components would cost new.
Thanks for all the comments guys. It's a road bike, will be using it for cross training. I am 5.6, the bike is 54cm. Hopefully it's not too big for me.
Be careful. Sounds like it might be a tad too big for ya. How big is your cross bike? Why not just train on your cross bike? Buy some road tires, the bike won't slow you down.
The size sounds like it's pushing it to me too. I'm 5'8" and I can "make" a 54 fit, kind of, but I'm actually happier on a 52. Proportions have a lot to do with it - I'm somewhat leggy for my height and don't have a terribly long reach. But definitely be careful with this.
If there's a shop carrying used bikes or used sporting equipment in general in your area, that can be a good way to stretch a buck. You still get to try a few different bikes, something that I think is a real value-added, but you also don't pay retail.
Cross training as in training for cyclocross, or as in training for a non-cycling sport?
