Kelly Knobby X builds/crankset bb advice

Posted a similar thread earlier...trying to see if I can get more specifics on what bb length works and what does not work. I have a Sugino/White Industries square taper crankset, a Ritchey two-ring cross type crank that requires a v1 octolink (so I'd need bb's for these and unsure of length to get) or a third option is a new Race Face Evolve mtn crankset.

    112.5

[for sure. 109.5s to short and 116.00 is to long

You can get an XTR V1 bottom bracket from your LBS. The QBP part number is CR0973 68x112.5.

This is your only option that I see from QBP with a Shimano BB.

There is this one on ebay:

    Good luck with your build

I am guessing that you have an earlier version with the curved chainstays? I run a regular road crankset on my knobby.
you can email Chris kelly from his website: info@kellybike.com
I think he still responds fairly well.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like the ~ 113mm length bb will work best so I have ordered one and will try the White Ind/Sugino crankset on it.

And, yes, it is the version with wider rear stays/135mm rear spacing which is a little bit of a pain when sourcing off-the shelf wheelsets etc but I got a great deal on the frame/fork etc.

need to use (2) 2.5mm spacers on a 68mm bb shell.
