Scattante Build

Got my frame from performance a few weeks ago and have been gathering some parts. Will be used as more of a gravel grinder/dirt road rider than a cross bike, but thought I'd post it here since I haven't seen one of the new Scattante XRL frames on here.

Frame looks decent, welds aren't the prettiest, but about what I expected on a $299 frame. Fork is carbon, but has a steeel steerer, so definitely isn't light. I threw together what I have and snapped a couple of pics. Wheels are from my touring bike. I have a set of Blackset Race cyclocross wheels on the way. The tires on the touring wheels are 32c Kenda Small Block 8s. 35-38s should fit easily, possibly up to 40 or 42. Build plan is below. Most of the parts are here or on the way. I'm hoping to keep it sub 20 lbs when all is done.

Sram 11-32 cassette
FSA Gossamer 36-46 crank
FSA Gossamer front derailleur
Rival Medium Cage Rear Derailleur
Tektro 720 cantis
Shimano Brake levers
BWW Blackset Race cross wheels with Kenda Small Block 8s for now.

Finally got all of the parts and finished building last night. The seatpost and saddle are borrowed from my wifes bike, I'll be changing them out in the next couple of days. Took her out for a shakedown ride tonight. Everything worked great, needing only a couple of minor adjustments early in the ride. Did a mix of roads, gravel and some mild singletrack.
