I guess Will and Michael Barry won't be exchanging Christmas cards this year.

I have no sympathy for those whiners who "had to" dope or give up their dream.

Micheal Barry could try working 9 to 5...lots of people do it.

I don't fully agree with Will on this.
Not every "doper" as he puts it, has lived the glory and has now repented.
Tyler Hamilton lost everything, so did Floyd Landis.

I agree with him when he says that athletes who dope have many times taken the place of clean athletes. I also agree that testimony from clean athletes needs to be heard as well. It' not all black or white as comes out on the article however.

Only because they opted to try and fight their punishments. I'm sure George is still living in his mansion. I doubt he'll offer to give it all back. Check this out -

The only difference between Lance and George is their personalities. One is a "nice guy", the other a douche nozzle. I will never own anything again from Hincapie sports.

I'm still trying to match the description with the names.... I keep flipping back and forth!

Entirely too easy for us to say given that almost everyone here wouldn't have a shot at ever being a pro.

Not hard for me at all. I agree some people don't know the difference between right and wrong.
"Having a shot a being a pro" is not a justification in any way.

    Haha.

I actually said something similar on these boards and caught a little flack for it.

I thought there was a whole thread recently about if we'd dope if it meant making the cut as a pro and doing the big races.

Regardless, it's easy to suggest that Michael Barry gets a 9-5 like the rest of us. It's easy when it's not your paycheck on the line. My department might lay people off after the holidays. Zero chance of finding other employment in town. Granted, EPO wouldn't save my job but I might consider it if it meant keeping my job.

Agreed. "Walk a mile in my shoes" sorta thing.... or "pedal a million miles maxed out on my bike and live like a peasant for 7 years while pursuing your dream and skipping out on college" is more like it...haha

If you don't use PED's you'll turn out exaclty like Will Routley... a no-name amateur who's never accomplished anything in life.

He's never accomplished anything in life? Wow, what are you so bitter about?

He's still a pro and odds are that you are not.
