last couple times guys posted their new bikes here they were crabon road frames (not that there's anything wrong with that). thought maybe i could represent for those of us that like steel bikes with track-ends...
finally latched on to my lifelong dream frame at a price that i could afford a while back & swapped over all the parts off my old bike. only thing new is the clamp-on bracket for the brake since the fork is not drilled. even after a couple months riding i am still torn what to do about handlebars. i luv my nitto semi-pursuit bar & it fits me to a tee. still, i can't help but wonder if drops wouldn't be more appropriate for this build but i haven't been able to make myself pull the trigger. same thing with the seatpost...i know in my heart that a thomson doesn't really go with an italian track frame but the thought of the weight penalty to go with something like a campy aero post just aggravates me. suggestions in these areas are welcome & appreciated...
nevertheless...i put a ton of miles, much of it long-distance rides, on my baby, it is no garage queen. light, fast, sharp yet stable handling, comfortable ride...i am thrilled with this bike & will be keeping it for the rest of my life...
