    Cannondale Caad9-5 (2010) or Carbon 6-5 (2009)

Just posted this question in the Cannondale section as well:

Here's the quandary: I put a deposit on a 2010 CAAD9-5 three weeks ago and according to the bike shop I've got another two weeks to wait (I'm in Vancouver). And the riding weather is so durned nice. Anyroad, the shop guy said if I really can't wait he could get me into a 2009 Carbon6-5 for 200 bucks more. The CAAD costs $1599 CDN ($1479 US) and the Carbon would be $1799 CDN ($1664 US). I'm 55, 6'2", around 190lb and ride recreationally. Any opinions? Yer expert opinion is required. Thanks, Fraser

IMHO, the CAAD9 will be just fine. There is simply no fault that one can find with it. It's a frameset you will never outgrow, no matter how hard you train.
