WIth cushioned seatpost B66 or B67?

My seatpost has a shock built in, stock post on Trek 7500, I am looking at getting possibly a B66 or B67, would the springs on the seat plus the shock type post be too "squishy". (I haven't looked but I suppose a new solid post isn't too expensive?)

Still contemplating the seat style with the cutout in the middle and forget the leather altogether.
