    Edge 305 seems to have data, but won't download it?

    I have a Garmin Edge 305, and as of the end of september, it stopped downloading new data to Garmin TC or Strava. I can use the edge on the bike just fine, it shows distance and caloriies, etc, and when I connect it, it goes through the whole sequence of downloading. No steps fail or have any problem, but the new data won't show up to TC or strava. Anyone have experience with this issue?

    I don't, but they've been messing with the drivers lately to accommodate the newer units. On the 800, etc., they make you stop the timer, then reset before turning the unit off if you want the data. I wonder if something's happened such that you need to do that for the 305 now, too?

    Come to think of it, I might have had that sort of issue a long while back. Three things to look at. First, check the transfer log to see if it says anything useful. Then, export/backup your data, and reload TC.

    But what I really think it is - your 305 might need a reset.
    A good habit is as hard to break as a bad one..

    This is what I was thinking also. Does the 305 show up as a drive when you connect to your computer? If so, back up the data and then do a reset.
