I'm busily demoing various bikes before I take the carbon plunge soon. Today I rode an Ibis Silk SL, and loved it. I had just gotten my Selle An-Atomica Titanico saddle in the mail, and swapped out the Fisik torture saddle for this one.

The ride was very strenuous, up Sweetwater Canyon into Guerneville where I live. Only 50 miles or so, but strenuous. I am happy to report that first impressions of this saddle are high. I thought it was terrific. I have a Brooks B17 on my Lemond, and I like that saddle, but find that on long climbs I can get a little numbness. So, I wanted to try the Titanico because I love a leather saddle for many reasons like many old guys, and this one has a cutout. According to Selle An-Atomica, no break in period needed. I can say that is true. Now we'll see how this saddle does over the long haul, but so far, terrific. I have never tried the B17 Imperial with the cutout, so it may be good too. But this one was on sale (brown color only) for about $100.
