    Good budget Trainer

Not sure if this is the right forum area; however, does anyone know of any good low budget '[100 to 200$] indoor/ outdoor bicycle trainer to buy?

Things I want to look for:

    Resistance type, which is better

I am looking to buy this as a gift for a friend's birthday and do not want a bad one, even though my budget is 100-200 :/.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Check for the store brands at Performance or Nashbar. I have a four year old Ascent Fluid trainer. Works fine. Cost about $100 on sale.
