    iPhone 4s / 5 & Polar H7 Heart Rate Sensor

Anyone with much experience on using an iPhone 4s or 5 with Polar's H7 heart rate sensor? How well does it work with the phone in a back jersey pocket?

I don't use my iPhone as my primary cycling computer. I use Cyclemeter and just leave the phone in my back computer unless I am completely lost. I like the aspect of being able to track rides and compare times. I occasionally use an entry-level Polar watch to track my heart rate during rides, but don't do any long term tracking of the summary HR data.

I can confirm that it works well on the 4GS as I have been testing this for Digifit. iPhone % support arrived to day with an update as well.

I can keep the phone 15-25 feet away in a plastic bag and HRM works well.
Several clients of mine as well are using them.

Now Polar H7 straps can be finicky after speaking with Polar's Tech support. After that conversation, i would use wahoo Fitness' BlueHR instead. I get Polar at a discount, but I will be moving the Wahoo when m iPhone 5 arrives.

I will aslo be testing Wahoo's BT Speed & Cadence sensor i the next few weeks as well.

Thank you for the feedback. The reviews on Amazon were mixed for both products.

Abvio (makers of Cyclemeter) seem to favor the Wahoo products as well. I'll probably give try Wahoo bluetooth strap first.
