Just got the Barbieri CarbOne Mini Pump from Performance. They price matched Colorado Cyclist and then took off 20% using the coupon that expires tomorrow.
I had been asking about this pump since a few people were saying how good it was.
Well my Topeak Pocket Master Blaster 115 grams is now officially retired. I never liked that pump. Good thing I only had to use it a few times. Was very hard to pump, bent the valve, and was almost impossible to get much past 80psi.
Barbieri CarbOne is 59 grams (don't matter to me how light it is just care if it works) and everything that has been said is true. It locks down beautifully onto the valve stem (no special locking mechanism, but you do feel it engage when it's all the way in, and while it requires a fair amount of strokes, its easy to hold/use and the higher pressures, 80-100psi were not especially hard to pump in. It claims 142psi max and I would not doubt it. I measured after with a guage and was a bit over 100psi which is more than I would actually ride my Mich Pro Race front tire anyways.
So it's a keeper. Thanks to those who gave me the heads up.
