    Louis Garneau Pro Max/Sizing generally

These are on a great sale at Nashbar, but their sizing confuses me. The chart says Medium is a size 34. Small is a size 32. Normally I wear a medium in Descente, Canari, Aerotech for shorts. Just bought causal shorts in a size 30. Probably 31 would be a best waist size but not easy to find.

Anyway, do Garneau's run big? I cannot imagine myself in a small but that is the size they seem to point to.

Basically 5'11", 170 lbs, 31 waist. Any thoughts?

    What's Nashbar's return policy?

Free return shipping? Or low fee return shipping?

What I've done before is order two sizes I think will fit. Tried them on. Shipped back the one that didn't fit.

I think it is $7 per for shipping. Plus really prefer not to do that. I don't know, just something about ordering something I do not intend to keep.

I wear a 32/33 in Lucky Brand shorts. I wear a "M" in Garneau bibs.
    More tea, Mr. Bike?

Consider Garneau sizing to replicate traditional Euro sizing.

my waist is 34/35, I wear an XL in the bibs (which are insanely comfortable).

Hmm. Based on the reviews they seemed to run large. Ordered the small. If I have to return them I will but I hate when my shorts are too large.

That's pretty smart actually, best way to find the best size for you!

+1 from me. My experience is that Garneau runs large and Pearl Izumi runs a little small. (This is for jerseys only; I have no experience with shorts/bibs.)

My Garneau jersey is a little larger than most of my other jerseys. That said with so many different cuts its tough to say.

Worst case scenario it is a return.
