My Leaderbike LD 736R is here.

It was pouring out there, but it's only water. I wasn't waiting for fair weather to try out my new bike. Man, what a rocket, accelerates on the slightest push, and climbing is a breeze compared to my trek. Took it for a short 16 mile jaunt in the rain in the hills around my neighborhood. What a blast. Totally soaked when I got back, but what a difference from my other bike. The only complaint I have is that the ride is a lot harsher than my Trek. My butt felt every bump on the road, and the odd time I missed seeing a pot hole, my family jewels let me know they were not pleased. Other than that, I am severely pleased with this Rocket of a bike. Forever a Leaderbike Fan.
Next bike: the 796R, when my wife lets me have my credit cards back.

    dig it.

did they ship it with 20 tires or 23's? i changed the 20s they shipped with my bike with 23s after 7 miles and it made a huge difference. also, i have ditched the seat post and bought a shorter, lighter carbon one from performance, of all places, for about $70. the clamp on that stock post wouldn't hold any saddle for very long and i wound up collapsing the clamp against itself trying make it work.

my zipps have made it an even better climber and faster on the flats. i think i was a little to heavy for those race lites.

Great looking bike. Hope you enjoy it. BTW, what kind of seat is that?
Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you'll be a mile away & you'll have their shoes.

Mine shipped with the 23's. I'm just a flyweight at 5'7" and 135 lbs., so these should be adequate. Maybe I should have ordered the carbon seat post? Having the same problem with post clamp, so any suggestions here would be more than welcome.

Embarassing pedals. Yeah, I know, REALLY SERIOUS equipment. Two reasons I those pedals are on there. Wrong shoes. and for yesterday's bike-a-thon, no clips or cages allowed (safety reasons?). Actually had to remove the cages on these pedals for yesterday's event. I'll put on the Look A5 pedals that originally shipped with my bike just as soon as I get myself a pair of shoes with the right clip mounts (this weekend's project).

    Seats

I read somewhere else online that you have to follow specific instructions with the seat post (that come with the bike) or else it won't be tight. Sorry, I have no idea where I read that. But apparently if you attach it right and wear it in or something it works right? I don't know, thats just what the guy said.

Problem with the seat post isn't the seat post. It's the tube. It can't cinch tight enough to hold the post. I put an aluminum foil shim to close the space (fabricated from good old aluminum foil folded three times and shaped in a 3/4 circle and placed at the top of the tube.). Now it cinches tight and holds the post very nicely.
