Nevada benefit entry: Hot Rod Schwinn

For Benefit Auction date tbd: One Hot Rod Varsity.

Note the gorgeous chrome fork- an obvious upgrade. Sleek Brooks saddle- nice and soft. Christophe toe clips! Quick release seatpost! New 1 1/8 tires! High Flange hubs! Wide comfy drop bars with long stem and Cinelli tape! No need to drop hands for brakes, they're already on top!

Deep root beer brown metallic paint! This bike is in great condition for it's age, and with sensible mods too!!

Ready to rock and roll on your next ride. Do you have the cajones for a stylin' ride such as this?

The final touch- and I need your help. Decals. What do you think?

    My ideas so far:

    RBR Team Spirit

    RBR Team Varsity

Chime in and we'll go with the winner!

It is a nice touch, don't ya' think?

I had considered taking it off and changing the freewheel, but I think it speaks for itself 'as-is'

You sure that's not a Continental? I didn't think Varsitys came in Root Beer.

The Continentals had the chrome fork, centerpull brakes & quick release hubs. Varsitys had painted forks, sidepulls & nutted hubs. The Suntour rear derailler isn't stock, but a good upgrade from the original Huret P.O.S.

So I'm right for the wrong reason. Do I get the points anyhow?

You must have a heck of a good eye to spot the rear D like that.

I was thinking of switching it out to Campy N.R....

Beautiful build RW. Say where'd all the white stuff go?
