    New Road Kill Trophy!!

Saturday group ride I accomplished a first...I hit an armadillo! He was walking across the road...the guy in front of me went wide in front and I went wide behind...of course when the critter saw the guy in front, he immediately turned and ran right into my the time I got to him it was too late...I hit him with a resounding "crunch...crunch", but somehow stayed upright, much to the delight of the race team with whom I was riding...they were very impressed, which is good, since I couldn't impress them much during the sprints.

Your lucky he didn't "spring" up like they do when they get skeered. Could have taken your head off. Poor little guy.
Just fast enough to know I am slow.

... congratz on your accomplishment!!! The Golden Armadillo is now yours!

Largest 4 footed for me was a pit bull. Didn't actually run over him... cuz he lodged 'tween my front wheel and pavement as I pushed his ole bod down the road for about 20 feet or so. Dunno if he survived cuz he high tail'd it once he extracted himself from 'neath my front wheel.

That's nuts! I ran over a squirrel once that ran out in front of me. Looked back and he was gone. So dunno how he faired after that.

Thank you for your honesty, I can just about picture that in my minds eye…
