Questions about cranksets. FSA K-force and record 11-speed

first, will the record 11-speed work with record 10-speed chain and front derailleur? my feeling is yes, since i just had an 8-speed record crankset installed on a bicycle with 10-speed chain and front derailleur, and it works just fine.

second, how do the k-force (megaexo) and the campy record cranksets compare?
my friend went from the SL-K (old model) to the campy record and he noticed a huge improvement in stiffness. and a shop owner mentioned just in passing that campy record cranks are far better than fsa. so my inclination is to go with the record.

Me thinks your friend is imagining it. Cranks are pretty much all the same.

Agree, mostly imagination. There is no actual "huge improvement in stiffness" going from the K-force to the Record crank. And shop owner's pronouncements are often based on something other than unbiased performance tests, which should come as no surprise.
