Removing speed sensort data from Garmin TCX file
I did a few rides with a speed sensor where the magnet wasn't close enough so it wasn't registering properly. I want to remove these datapoints from the TCX file. I see a trackpoint as this
What should I edit to remove this? Just DistanceMeters?
Better off asking in the Garmin forums. There are fit file editors that allow you to use the GPS data instead of the speed sensor data which may get you where you want to be.
You need to remove each desired track point which would entail remove everything within the Trackpoint tags, including the tags.
If you download the Golden Cheetah software, and import all the rides you want to remove the speed data from to the software, there is an edit function you can easily erase speed data from each file. Just delete the column with the speed data by left clicking on the header, then right clicking, then selecting remove column and resave the file as a TCX file.
