    Synapse or Roubaix?

I'm thinking about going to a more relaxed, endurance bike from an Allez. I'm going carbon and am wondering is there a big difference in both lower end carbon models. How's the ride compare? Geometry? hoping someone has rode both. I am sticking to Sram.

Have you ridden both? I had a carbon Synapse. Dunno, but I like my current Pinny Quattro better.

Ride both, I've never been indecisive between two bikes. Always fall in love, and have to have it.

really, I think the only way to tell for yourself is to go and ride them, everything else is just people's opinions...

    FWIW, I have both bikes, a 2010 Carbon Synapse with Ultegra and DuraAce C50's, and a 2013 S-Works Roubaix SL4 with DA9000 and Zipp 202 FC's.

Not sure if it's really comparing apples to apples though, may not even be comparing the same type of fruit! I always thought that the Synapse was excellent, but the Roubaix is by far a better bike, although for twice the cost it should be and I'm not sure how this translates to the new lower end models or what changes there has been to the Synapse in the last few model years.

I can get the Roubaix Apex for about 2k and a synapse Apex for about the same. Although i haven't really sat down with my lbs to discuss the Synapse in detail. i have rode the Roubaix.

I've owned both and both are great bikes. The geometry is slightly different, so make sure you ride them if possible before buying.
