Trick Garmin mount
I admittedly really made this because I didn't like the black mount attached to my nice white stem, but after getting to the new position it seems to work better for viewing.
Would have like to buy the Quarq mount coming out in a few months, but appears to be only designed to fit the 500.

Aluminum with a gloss white enamel finish.
As much a WW as I am, I forgot to weigh before I put on. Prob in the 20-30g range. Will pull back off sometime and throw it on the scale.

Nice! Funny how the unit hides the bracket so the color isn't such an issue.

Nice mount!
Does anyone know of anywhere where one can find Edge mounts similar to that, ie one that just doesn't attach to the stem or bar? I did a semi quick google search and really couldn't find anything.
Thanks all!

I have to ask. What's wrong with putting it on the stem or handlebar? I know the OP said it was for aesthetics, but is that the only reason? Just curious.

Nothing "wrong" with the bar mount per say... but (assuming like the OP) I didn't want to look that far (relatively speaking, I know) back to see the computer. I use the same mount as redondoaveb, and it's just a bit easier to glance down when on the drops.
NOTE: Yes, I've been fitted. No, I'm not too far forward if I have to look back, No... ;-)

GearHead... As much as I like my Acor (like redondoaveb's) mount, yours is MUCH slicker! Had it been available, I'd be sporting that one. Nice work.
But, I have to wonder - given the flat aluminum stock - how much vibration is there? I had envisioned making one very similar to yours (then saw the Acor for $25 and said *#$& it) but had assumed it would need a bit of a brace - like a spine.

Nice! How did you attach the twist mount to the aluminum?

Yea, aesthetics....pretty much it.
The mount started as a block of AL and milled down to 1/8" thick, which in terms of stiffness is still pretty thick so doesn't seem to have an issue with vibration.
For the garmin mount I cut most of the back 'ears' off then epoxied into the AL from the backside.
As far as making for other folks, I'm sorry but can't do. This is a one off process for me and the labor for me to make would make it prohibitively expensive. Also, different stems have different bolt center-to-center distances so would end up with a number of different designs.
