    Visited old friends today.

Today I decided to take the TT bike out for a longer spin (35 miles) and go visit O'Neil's Bicycle Shop. I haven't seen Bruce and Mary in several years. It's a great little shop and I'll be back mid week to pick up a set of rims for my friends mountain bike that I'm overhauling. This is the last of the O'Neil's bike shops left, they used to be 4 O'Neil's shops in the Central Mass region.

I was riding around there myself today. Started in NH, down through Winchendon to Athol, back up for a lunch stop in Royalston then over to Warwick and back through Richmond and Fitzbilly NH.
Some great hills in and around Royalston. But man are the road rough in that town.

I can remember when O'Neil's was one of the big mail order sources of high level bike parts, back in the 80's. (I believe that I still have a catalog of theirs).
If your opinion differs from mine, ..........Too bad.

Buying parts to hang on your bike is always easier than getting fit.

If you feel wimpy and weak, get out and train more, ya wee lassie!

I stay away from Royalston because of the roads. I do have a nice route into Athlon and Orange I like. Been thinking about doing Keene NH. real soon.

Great memory MR_GRUMPY I raced one season with them out of the Worcester shop. Our kits were neon pick and we were called the bad boys club.

I think I remember racing against O'Neil's back in the 90s. Weren't they in Webster Square? There's some history, that street back in the day.

Not the 1980's...It was their 1995 catalog. Back then, you could pick up a Silca Pista floor pump for $34.95...The main store was in Worcester.
