Wahoo vs Garmin Speed/Cadence Sensor Compatibility with Trainer Road

Ok, so I got a new bike, a 2017 Fuji SL 2.1 Disc. I also bought a Wahoo Kickr Trainer, Wahoo Elemnt Bolt computer, and the related ANT+/Bluetooh speed/cadence sensor. To make a long story short, their sensor is a piece of garbage and will not work with my frame's thick chainstays. The only place I can put the sensor so that it picks up my cadence magnet also puts the speed sensor solidly into the spokes regardless of how it is adjusted. If I put the sensor so it safely picks up the speed magnet, the cadence magnet is well over 1/2" away, far outside of the recommended 1/8" max distance. It simply is not adjustable to work.

I have a Garmin speed/cadence sensor that only transmits via ANT+, and it is very adjustable and is easily mounted on the bike to pick up both cadence and speed. I know the computer will find that sensor, so that's not a problem. The question I have is this... can I use my Kickr Trainer with an ANT+ speed/cadence sensor and a Bluetooth HR strap while using Trainer Road? I want that app to pick up and display the Kickr's power, HR, and cadence. What do I need to make this happen? I'm brand new to most of this crap and am extremely frustrated that I'm having to fight with a brand new $60 sensor to even get it to mount on my bike. I barely have any time in my days and to waste an entire evening screwing around with a crappy product really makes me mad at the Wahoo Fitness company.

Can't say about TrainerRoad but I know on Zwift you can combine Bluetooth and ANT+ sensors. As I remember it's done through your phone and the mobile App on Zwift, but could be wrong, it's been over 6 months since I played with it.

Which wahoo speed/cadence sensor are you using?

Also with the kickr you don't need a speed sensor. All you need is the cadence, there is the wahoo based ant+ magnetless cadence sensor that just clips in your shoe.
