want to switch my Spindles on my Time RXS Pedals Help

Can anyone direct me to a link or if you have any information on how to switch out my Spindles on my Time RXS Pedals?? I have a set of brand new Carbon pedals and I want to replace the steel spindles to titanium from my older pedals. so I can shave some grams. Who has the Skillz to do this?? I dont want to send them to TIME. They are both RXS pedals.

    Thanks in advance

a lot of times there are other tools you can use, but that looks to be something proprietary. we have sold time pedals for years and don't have it...you may have to send 'em in

I vote for sending them to Time USA. They use some kind of low-strength loctite on the threads of the collar. Both sides are right-hand threading and in the early days there were problems with the left pedals unscrewing from the axle. Hence the use of the low strength loctite.

Time USA is generally pretty helpful.

I believe Time has a downloadable pdf parts diagram on their site. This is not a hard job. Any bike shop should be able to do it. The ones that don't want to are either not Time dealers or just nervous about risk.

Did you find the right tool? Or did you use something else? I'm looking for one myself.

I sent an email to "Time" asking about their pedal tool to remove the spindle.
    Never received a response.
If anyone finds a way to obtain that tool. let us know.
    I'll do the same.
